We will be discontinuing the Nitrous Development Platform and Cloud IDE on November 14th, 2016.

If you have an active workstation, we will email you a link that allows you to download a backup of your data. You will have 15 days to download your data before it is deleted. If you didn't receive this email, please send us an email at support@nitrous.io and we will do our best to help. Payments made after October 16, 2016 will be refunded in full.

In the coming weeks, we will be releasing a self-hosted & open-source version of the Nitrous IDE called Nitrous Solo that will be available for free. Nitrous Solo lets you host your own instance of the Nitrous IDE on your preferred cloud provider.

Your subscription on any Nitrous email list will expire on November 30, 2016. If you would like to receive updates after November 30 about any of our open source initiatives, please click on the following button:

tealeaf logoNitrous has saved us a lot of time, because its one-click development environment allows our students to focus on the most important thing: learning to code. Nitrous is all that you need as a developer and nothing more. In other words, when our students use Nitrous, they're learning how to work like a real developer, not learning a proprietary product. The Nitrous development environment is just Unix, and a code editor - that's how real programmers work. We love that about Nitrous.

pilot logoWe love the easy-to-use coding interface and the amazing collaborative technology that Nitrous offers. In the past, we used other code sharing software such as Git and Dropbox, but the live code collaboration Nitrous provides is just awesome. Nitrous definitely increased our productivity a great deal, especially in an overnight event where fatigue catches up with your body and tempers rise quickly if software doesn't cooperate.
